ipNX Nigeria has reinforced its commitment to driving innovation and digital transformation through its participation at the 2026 edition of IoT West Africa Conference and Exhibition held at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, from the 28th – 30th April, 2026.
The company’s Chief Technology Architect, Oluwaseun Oluboyo, who joined other industry leaders for a boardroom dialogue titled “Tech Transformation: A Masterclass to Enable the C-Suite to Lead Digital Transformation in Nigeria,” emphasised that successful digital transformation begins with a deep understanding of customer needs and business challenges rather than the pursuit of technology for its own sake.
Addressing the growing adoption of artificial intelligence across industries, Oluboyo highlighted the importance of data quality, operational readiness, and carefully designed workflows.
“AI is not a magic bullet. AI will produce nonsense faster than any human can do, so your data quality is of critical importance,” he said. “Your workflow has to be just right because AI also doesn’t know when to pause. Organisations must invest the time to understand their systems, map their data properly, and prepare their infrastructure before deployment.”
He also stressed the need for sustainable digital infrastructure and greater attention to digital sovereignty within Africa’s technology ecosystem.
“We can’t rely only on powerful computers located in the cloud to run our AI and digital services. Apart from delays in speed, there are also important concerns about data privacy, security, and government regulations around where information is stored and controlled. That’s why it’s important for us to build and operate more of these systems locally,” Oluboyo added.
ipNX noted that platforms such as IoT West Africa play a critical role in fostering industry dialogue, encouraging collaboration, and promoting practical insights that support sustainable innovation and digital adoption across Nigeria and the wider African market. We remain committed to enabling connectivity, supporting enterprise transformation, and contributing to the development of a more connected, innovative, and future-ready Nigeria.
